Consultation

At your consultation we will discuss your concerns and any associated issues and if required develop a workable plan, tailored to your situation.
Everybody’s experience is different and as such personalised care can address outcomes.

We use hospital grade latest technology, within 2 – 5gm accuracy, neonatal scales to weigh and test weigh baby.

Initial issues of concern are commonly, sore nipples and latch issues, weight gain concerns and anything ongoing that can affect your establishment of comfortable and relaxed breast feeding. At times, regardless of the age of your baby other areas of concern arise or issues maybe ongoing and therefore need to be addressed, to enable you to continue your positive breast feeding journey.

We accept self referrals and in addition complement Doctors and Child Health Nurse professionals in the community.
You are welcome to phone us after our initial meeting with a progress and update report and if required we can schedule follow-up.
 Fee
  • Initial consultation is $180, which can take up to 1 ½ hours and includes a follow-up phone call.
  • Follow-up consultation is $150
Some private health funds will provide a rebate.

My Nursing career started in country Victoria 35 years ago and then more extensively in Melbourne. After completing my midwifery studies at Royal Women’s Hospital I moved to Perth and I have worked predominately in postnatal care in the private sector. I am a mother of 4 children.

After qualifying as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, my area of interest has been to assist mothers and babies establish their breastfeeding.  For the last 10 years I have worked exclusively in lactation consultancy breastfeeding support, in the community, private breastfeeding clinics and group support settings. I am a qualified Child Health Nurse after completing a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Nurse Specialisation: Child and Adolescent Health at Curtin University.
